Our Mission and Values
Our Mission
At Saga, our mission is to help churches better serve their congregations and their communities by offering support for emotional, relational and mental health. We value aligning ourselves with God’s word and to bring reconciliation, healing and forgiveness to the Body of Christ. Our purpose is threefold:
Mental Health Services
Connect churches, their members and their leaders with a network of expert mental health professionals who understand the intersection of mental health treatment and Christian faith.
Church Care Support Services
Collaborate with church leaders, helping them to develop structures that allow their churches to better support those who may struggle with emotional, relational and/or mental health challenges.
Educational Programs
Conduct classes, seminars, workshops and support groups that bring relational, emotional and mental health issues into focus.
Our Values
We value aligning ourselves with God’s word and to bring reconciliation, healing and forgiveness to the Body of Christ.
We value caring for people who may differ from this value statement because all of us are in need of help.
We value Godly counsel that aligns with the work of the Holy Spirit and redemption of people.
We value the dignity of every person as we are all created in the image of God.
We value the scriptural covenant of marriage that was designed by God because God designed boundaries.
We value the professional background and spiritual commitment of clinicians and staff.
We value the traditional doctrine of the church as expressed in the Apostolic Creed and Nicene Creed.
We affirm love for the local church that is flawed by people but redeemed and sanctified by God.
We value the benefits of research, and we seek to see research through the lens of scripture.
We value people’s differences and also long to see people’s lives lived out in their identity in Christ.
