Prayer

"Prayer does not fit us for the greater works; prayer is the greater work." --Oswald Chambers

Prayer is the greater work.

At Saga we are called to care and minister to the Body of Christ, our partner churches and the world “God so loved” that He gave His one and only Son (John 3:16). As a mental health organization, we focus on care, relationships and the well-being of the whole person. In doing so, we want to offer rich resources of prayer and meditation for those who visit our website.

We agree with Oswald Chambers when he says: “Prayer does not fit us for the greater works; prayer is the greater work”. The Word of God states that it’s not by human strength, abilities or power but by the Spirit of the Lord. (Zech. 4:1). We at Saga want to emphasize that the source of our strength, love, wisdom and ministry comes from the Lord.

Jesus underlined the importance on prayer on many occasions and taught us how to pray in the
“Lord’s Prayer” (Matt 6:9-13). I have called it “the prayer of all prayers”, He lays a foundation
for His followers with the statement “This, then, is how you should pray…”. These are
incredibly important words. So many times we find ourselves at loss of words how to pray, just
like the disciples. Our Lord Jesus gave us “ingredients” to true prayer and insight into His
relationship with his Father in the Lord’s Prayer. It’s a prayer of unconditional love, sacrifice and
surrender to the Father’s will.

We hope this page will enrich your walk with the Lord and draw you closer to Jesus.
