LCSW
Erik Sherman
Erik is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and also holds a Master's of Public Health.
Prior to working as a therapist, he has spent time as an EMT and on staff at his local church. He integrates those past experiences into his clinical work, which combine to form an approach that focuses on curious, direct, and at times playful, inquiry into the clients and families he works with. Over his 10 years of experience in the mental health field, he has worked extensively with those on the Autism spectrum, veterans, and individuals/families dealing with trauma and/or addiction. He specializes in work with faith issues, trauma, anxiety, depression, addiction (substances, sexual, and gambling), health issues, religious scrupulosity, family work, and teen/young adult issues. He has regularly facilitated anger management groups, substance use groups, and multi-family groups. Erik completed his graduate studies at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and is passionate about taking a holistic approach that focuses on the interconnection of spiritual, mental, and physical health.Â
