About MeHello. My name is Iihae. I am a licensed Marriage and Family therapist and I have been in this field for over 26 years. I have worked with clients of all ages and from all walks of life.My special interest is in working with trauma. I have extensive training in various therapeutic modalities including Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), Brainspotting, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Trauma Resiliency Model (TRM). I worked as a Program Supervisor in a hospital intensive outpatient program for the chronically mentally ill adults and seniors who taught me a lot about having compassion for those who are suffering, as well as how to find beauty, hope and strength in each person. I am now in full-time private practice, and I love what I do.Many people have asked me if my name has any meaning. Iihae (pronounced E-heh) means "Understanding Grace." I have come to appreciate my name as I have encountered special people in my life who have really cared about me and have extended God’s grace to me.I am very excited to be part of SAGA, whose vision is to create a place of refuge for fellow believers, especially for those of you in ministry. As a pastor’s daughter, I know firsthand what it is like to feel alone in pain and to not have a safe place to turn.Diana Fosha, PhD, the founder of AEDP, described traumas as “unbearable states of aloneness.” We are not meant to be alone in our suffering. I believe deep healing can take place when we are in the safe and caring presence of a trusted person. It would be my honor to be that refuge for you, to walk alongside of your journey towards healing and growth.
