About Me
Hello, my name is Salpi Maghakian. I am a bilingual Armenian-christian Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I earned my MA degree from Mennonite Brethren Biblical Seminary (currently known as Fresno Pacific University) in 2004. I’ve been in the therapeutic field for a little over 18 years now. I have worked in many clinical settings which included schools, Glendale YWCA Domestic Violence Shelter and groups, St. Agnes Hospital Footsteps program (facilitating groups on grief/divorce), Salvation Army Rehab Center, and the Armenian Relief Society. In the faith-based communities I have served as a Children’s leader/Children’s substitute advisor and group leader through Bible Study Fellowship for many

years. In my local church I served as a Sunday School teacher for several years for

grades Kinder-1 st grade. As a Christian, my values and work are informed by my

faith. I strongly depend on the Holy Spirit and my personal time with the Lord, to

guide me into wisdom and truth.

I opened Therapy 4 Kiddos in 2020. As a mom, to two teens, I understand the

parenting struggles families face while managing feelings/emotions related to

kiddos. While my work is primarily with the kiddos I often do collaborate with

parents through empowering, listening and providing a non-judgmental place to

be heard and seen. In my practice I follow this mantra by Ashleigh Warner

“Beneath every behavior there is a feeling, and beneath each feeling is a need.

And when we meet that need rather than focus on the behavior, we begin to deal

with the cause, not the symptom”. When we begin to explore the underlying

unmet needs, we begin to recognize where the changes need to be made to

better help understand our kiddos.

I would feel honored and blessed in taking this journey with you!
